# Your wallet & funds

Everything about your money: the two balances, moving funds, cashing out, and staying secure.

## The two balances

Open **💰 Wallet** in your DM with the bot to see both:

| Balance                | What it is                                   | What it's for                                 |
| ---------------------- | -------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| 💼 **Bot wallet** | USDC on Arbitrum One, in your managed wallet | Buy-ins, receiving winnings, sending USDC out |
| 📈 **Trading balance** | Your capital on Hyperliquid | The funds you trade with during a competition |

{% hint style="info" %}
Think of it as **bot wallet = cash on hand**, **trading balance = chips on the table**.
{% endhint %}

## The money flow, end to end

1. **Add USDC** (Arbitrum One) to your bot wallet.
2. **Join a competition** — your buy-in leaves the bot wallet for the prize pool.
3. **Move funds to trading** — fund your Hyperliquid balance.
4. **Trade.**
5. **Win** — prizes land back in your bot wallet.
6. **Send USDC out** whenever you like.

## Adding funds

* **Receive USDC** — send USDC (Arbitrum One) to your bot wallet address (**💰 Wallet** → tap the address to copy).
* **Buy with card or bank** — **Wallet → Add funds** opens a secure checkout. (Availability varies by region.)

## Moving funds between balances

**Wallet → Move money**, then:

* **Move to trading** — fund your Hyperliquid balance before a competition.
* **Move to wallet** — bring trading funds back.

{% hint style="info" %}
Moving money is just an internal transfer. It never enters you into a competition.
{% endhint %}

## Sending USDC out

**Wallet → More → Send USDC out** transfers USDC from your bot wallet to any external Arbitrum One address. Your funds are never locked in — cash out whenever you want.

## Fees

There's no fee to play — your full buy-in goes into the prize pool. Two fees can apply:

* **Trading fee** — a small **0.1% per-trade fee** on your Hyperliquid trades (the standard builder fee), taken from your trading balance on each fill.
* **Creator fee** — separate and optional: a host can set a cut of the prize pool (0–10%) when creating a competition. It can only ever be lowered afterward, never raised. See [Hosting a competition](/layer3-updated-docs/arena-telegram/hosting-a-competition.md).

## Security

Your wallet is **managed** for convenience, but you stay in control.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Exporting your private key.** Under **Wallet → More → Security** (or `/export`), your key is shown **only on your device** — Layer3 never sees it. Anyone who has that key controls your funds, with no undo. Never share it. Layer3 will never ask for it.
{% endhint %}

**Revoking trading access.** `/disable_trading` stops the bot from placing any trades on your account. Turn it back on with `/enable_trading`.
